Finance Manager | Growing ANZ Business

$140k–$150k super | North Sydney | Team Leadership

We are partnering with an established Australia & New Zealand business looking to appoint a Finance Manager to take ownership of its day-to-day financial operations and lead a small finance team.

This is a great opportunity for a senior financial accountant or existing Finance Manager looking for a role that combines financial control, reporting, working capital, team leadership and commercial partnering, with plenty of opportunity to improve processes and drive efficiencies across the finance function.

The Opportunity

You will be responsible for maintaining a strong financial control environment across the ANZ business, while leading a team across financial accounting, revenue and accounts payable.

This is a broad, hands-on role where you will have ownership across month-end, financial reporting, balance sheet integrity, revenue, WIP, working capital and compliance, while partnering with Commercial, Projects and Operations teams across the business. The position will also involve lots of transformation work, and getting stuck into projects.

Key responsibilities will include

- Leading and overseeing the month-end and year-end close processes
- Reviewing monthly P&L;, balance sheet reporting and variance analysis
- Ensuring integrity of the general ledger and overseeing all key balance sheet reconciliations
- Managing financial reporting and ensuring reporting packs are accurate and delivered on time
- Overseeing revenue recognition, invoicing and WIP movements




- Managing working capital performance across receivables, payables and cash flow
- Ensuring compliance across BAS, GST, FBT and statutory reporting
- Supporting the annual external audit and managing relationships with external advisors
- Partnering with FP&A; and the Financial Controller across budgeting, forecasting and financial planning
- Working closely with Commercial, Projects and Operations teams to provide financial insight and support decision-making
- Identifying financial risks and strengthening internal controls
- Driving process improvement, automation and reporting efficiencies
- Leading, coaching and developing a team of three across financial accounting, revenue and AP

About You

We are looking for a solid technical finance professional who is comfortable taking ownership of the numbers while also leading a team and partnering with the wider business.

Ideally, you will have:

- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or Commerce
- CA/CPA qualification, either completed or working towards, highly regarded
- Experience in a senior financial accounting, finance operations or Finance Manager role
