Your new company An excellent opportunity has become available for an experienced Finance Assistant to join a well-established Tasmanian business on a temporary to permanent basis.
Your new role
This is a diverse and hands-on role where you will support day-to-day finance operations while working closely with an experienced accounting team. The organisation offers a collaborative culture, varied responsibilities and the chance to build a long-term career.
Key responsibilities will include
- Accounts payable and accounts receivable processing
- Bank, credit card and general ledger reconciliations
- Payroll processing, superannuation and payroll tax administration
- BAS preparation support and month-end processing
- Debtor management and cash flow monitoring
- Financial reporting and budget support
- Maintaining accurate employee records and assisting with HR administration
- Project financial administration and reporting
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across finance processes
What you'll need to succeed To be successful, you will have:
- Previous experience in a Finance Assistant, Accounts Officer or Bookkeeper position
- Strong working knowledge of Xero
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Well-developed organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
