Your chance Support the MHHS Revenue Unit in providing a quality accounts service, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of accounts and debt management services in accordance with best practice principles and compliant with the relevant Financial Management and Audit Standards.
Role-specific responsibilities
- Process, reconcile, monitor, and perform the collection and receipting of public monies for MHHS bank accounts and General Trust account.
- Reconcile all MHHS bank accounts by end of each month by WD4.
- Demonstrated expertise in the preparation of complex reconciliations and the use of financial systems, together with experience to ensure accurate receipting procedures and receipt codes.
- Provide guidance to the relevant divisions, departments, and cashier to verify daily receipting and banking. Including assisting with monitoring of revenue reconciliation, reporting, recognition, and optimisation.
- Accurately record all doctor receipting for revenue and EOM reconciliation for posting to the ledger.
- Ensure effective internal control systems are maintained to meet external audit requirements and relevant government legislation and regulations.
- Support strategic quality audits of S/4 to provide and appropriate reports, maintain system integrity, in accordance with the Health Service Act 1991, Financial Administration and Audit Act and other relevant Acts, Corporate Policy and District procedural guidelines.
- Assist with revenue recognition in line AASB 15 and AASB 1058 across MHHS revenue including support for all non-PP monthly accruals, register, monthly reconciliations,
and control balances including the MHHS General Trust Account.
- Develop and maintain procedural manuals and provide input as required to ensure accurate revenue recognition of all revenues in accordance with AASB 15 and AASB 1058.
- Identify and implement best practice technologies by automating volume-based systems and tasks utilising advanced excel formulars, macros and software bots.
- Conduct monthly revenue reporting and analysis as required.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly cashflow forecasting, reporting and management.
- Maintain a contemporary knowledge of finance procedures, supporting technologies and all accounting standards.
- Assist the Revenue & Treasury Manager with all associated revenue accounting processes including assisting with cashier management function and supporting backfill as required to high levels within the team.
- Other ad hoc duties as required assisting revenue unit as deemed necessary by line manager.
Qualifications Possession of a qualification in Accounting from a registered tertiary institution or equivalent is mandatory for this role. CPA/CA preferred or studying towards. Position details Salary: $109,718 to $119,992 p.a.
