About the opportunity

Our Australian and New Zealand operations are growing fast, bringing together great businesses including All Energy Contracting (AEC), Bam Bam, Pilecom and Volta under one group.

We are looking for an experienced Financial Accountant to join our growing team in our brand-new offices in Hamilton. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include;

- Preparation and posting journal entries as part of the month-end close process.
- Fixed asset accounting and maintenance of the fixed asset register.
- Preparation of Balance Sheet reconciliations.
- Assisting with the preparation of monthly reporting for submission to UK headquarters.
- Contributing to the preparation of consolidated financial statements at year end in compliance with AASB/IFRS and support external audit requirements.
- Assistance with completion accounting for newly acquired entities.
- Cashflow forecasting and consolidation.
- Assist with tax compliance obligations including GST, income tax and other statutory taxes.
- Act as a finance system administrator/super-user for the ERP platform.




- Support system integrations between the ERP and subsidiary or acquired entity systems.
- Work closely with the Financial Controller on special projects and ad-hoc requests
- Support continuous process improvement and system development to increase the efficiency. and quality of outputs from the accounting team.

What you will bring to the team

- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Accounting, Commerce or Finance.
- CA or CPA qualification or studying towards completion.
- Minimum 3 years of financial accounting experience, ideally with a multi-entity organisation.
- Experience with accounting/ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to work under pressure, multi-task, and deal with a high volume of work in a tight deadline environment.
- Excellent attention to detail, multi-tasking, analytical and communication skills.
