Commercial Accounting Co is a Toowoomba management accounting firm helping business owners and managers understand their numbers, improve performance and solve business problems. We’re looking for someone who wants to contribute, keep learning and take genuine ownership of their work and their customer relationships.

Your background might be as a CPA, chartered accountant, intermediate accountant, financial analyst, business analyst or business bookkeeper.

You may be looking to move from public tax practice into commercial accounting, bring your experience into a new career, or develop your capabilities with a view to pursuing CPA or CA qualifications.

The work

Depending on your experience and capabilities, you’ll contribute to:

- Meaningful financial reporting: preparing reliable business accounts, management reports and analysis that explain performance—not simply present numbers.

- Planning and problem-solving: supporting budgets, cash-flow forecasts and business analysis, investigating issues and identifying opportunities for improvement.

- Customer relationships: working with business owners and managers to understand their challenges, communicate clearly and turn financial information into practical action.

What you’ll bring

We welcome applicants with a relevant university education, more than five years’ relevant experience, or demonstrated professional competency in accounting, finance, business analysis or bookkeeping.

Just as importantly, we’re looking for someone who is curious, thinks creatively and enjoys solving problems. You communicate well, ask thoughtful questions and are willing to learn. You take responsibility for your work and development, follow through on commitments and care about the people and businesses you support.

You don’t need to arrive knowing everything. You do need the willingness to think, contribute and grow.
