Role Description The Fire Technician role is a full-time, on-site position based in Sydney, NSW.

The Fire

Technician will inspect, test, and maintain fire suppression systems, fire extinguishers, and other fire safety equipment in accordance with relevant standards and regulations.

Responsibilities include diagnosing and troubleshooting system faults, performing repairs, and documenting all service activities accurately. The role also involves supporting compliance activities, assisting with AFSS requirements, and providing basic user training on fire safety equipment to clients.





The Fire

Technician will collaborate with engineers, coordinators, and clients to ensure reliable, safe, and efficient fire protection solutions.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated skills in Fire Extinguisher inspection, servicing, and maintenance.
- Experience with Fire Suppression Systems, including testing, fault diagnosis, and repairs.
- Strong understanding of Fire Safety and Life Safety standards, codes, and best practices.
- Ability to perform effective Troubleshooting on fire protection and detection equipment.
- Relevant trade qualification or certification in fire protection, electrical, or mechanical fields.
- Knowledge of Australian fire safety regulations and AFSS requirements is highly desirable.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to work on client sites across Sydney and surrounding areas.
- Valuable written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail in documentation.
- Capacity to work safely, follow procedures, and use tools and equipment responsibly.
- Previous experience in fire protection services or building services maintenance is an advantage.
