Murravale Retirement Home Ltd is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our aged care team on a part-time basis. This role is based in Murrurundi, NSW, and offers an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our elderly residents. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, person-centred care in a supportive and community-focused environment. This position is essential to our commitment to providing exceptional healthcare services and maintaining the wellbeing and dignity of our residents.

Key responsibilities

- Assess residents' health conditions and develop individualised care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Administer medications safely and accurately, maintaining comprehensive medication records and ensuring compliance with aged care regulations
- Monitor residents' vital signs, health status and any changes in condition, escalating concerns to senior staff or medical practitioners as appropriate
- Provide direct nursing care including wound management, catheter care, personal hygiene support and other clinical interventions as required
- Communicate effectively with residents, families and carers regarding care planning, health updates and any concerns or changes in wellbeing
- Maintain detailed and accurate medical and nursing documentation in accordance with aged care standards and legislation
- Support residents with managing chronic conditions and assist in implementing preventative health strategies
- Collaborate with general practitioners, specialists and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic, coordinated care
- Contribute to infection control practices and maintain protected, hygienic standards across the residential facility




- Provide mentoring and support to nursing and aged care support staff as required

What we're looking for

- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) as a Registered Nurse
- Proven experience working in aged care or residential healthcare settings
- Strong knowledge of aged care regulations, standards and best practice guidelines in Australia
- Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate, person-centred care with a focus on dignity and wellbeing
- Excellent clinical assessment and communication skills
- Proficiency in electronic health records systems and medical documentation
- A current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team workplace
- Commitment to continuous professional development and maintaining current nursing knowledge
- Flexibility and reliability, with the ability to work across varying shift patterns on a part-time basis
