About the role The Adelaide Hills Hotel Group is seeking a dedicated and experienced Front of House Manager to join our team at our Verdun location at The Fourth Hill Providore. This is a full-time position that will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional hospitality experiences to our guests. As Front of House Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of guest-facing operations, ensuring seamless service delivery, and maintaining the highest standards of customer satisfaction.

This role is essential to the success of our establishment and directly impacts the reputation and profitability of the hotel.

Key responsibilities

- Manage and supervise front-of-house staff, including receptionists, concierge, and guest services personnel
- Ensure guest check-in and check-out processes are efficient, welcoming and exceed expectations
- Handle guest inquiries, concerns and complaints with professionalism and resolve issues promptly and satisfactorily
- Monitor and maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation and professionalism throughout public areas
- Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance and other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences
- Manage room bookings, availability and ensure accurate record-keeping across all systems
- Oversee reception desk operations, telephone system and guest communication channels
- Implement and maintain health, safety and security protocols within the front-of-house area
- Train, mentor and develop front-of-house team members to deliver consistent service excellence
- Monitor key performance indicators and reporting on guest satisfaction, occupancy rates and revenue




- Contribute to marketing and promotional activities to enhance the hotel's profile and guest experience
- Maintain accurate records and documentation relating to guests, bookings and incidents

What we're looking for

- Proven experience in a front-of-house or hotel management role, ideally within a similar hospitality setting
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer service
- Proficiency with hotel management systems and property management software
- Professional appearance and demeanour with a customer-focused mindset
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain attention to detail
- Knowledge of health, safety and security procedures within hospitality environments
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and public holidays as required by the business
- A positive attitude, problem-solving abilities and resilience in a fast-paced environment
- Certification in hospitality management or relevant qualification is desirable
