What You'll Be Doing

- Welcome patients warmly and create a positive experience from the moment they enter the practice

- Assist patients in selecting frames and eyewear that suit their lifestyle, prescription, and personal style

- Provide advice on lenses, coatings, and optical solutions

- Manage appointments, patient records, and administrative tasks

- Support the day-to-day operation of the practice

- Maintain a welcoming, organised, and professional environment

- Help deliver the exceptional level of service that our patients know and love

What We're Looking For

We're searching for an experienced Optical Dispenser who is passionate about patient care and enjoys supporting the success of their team.

Our Ideal Candidate Will Bring





- A minimum of 2 years' experience in the optical industry

- Experience working in busy optical practices

- Strong dispensing knowledge and technical expertise
- A proven track record of delivering exceptional patient care
- A genuine patient-first approach
- The ability to support, mentor, and upskill team members

- Excellent communication skills, both in person and over the phone
- A positive attitude and collaborative mindset
- A passion for helping patients look, feel, and see their best

Neilson Eyecare is a full service optometry practice in Toowoomba. Our Optometrists have been practicing optometry for many years. Believing in lifelong learning, we stay at the forefront of research in to all aspects of vision. We have a particular interest in children’s vision and myopia control. Every patient has unique needs for their vision, we address these needs individually, and take the time to explain the options.
