We are seeking a talented and passionate full time Sous Chef to join our team at the Blazing Stump Hotel in Wodonga. If you have a flair for creating delicious dishes and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you!

The Position:

We are seeking a passionate professional that is energetic, organised, and self-motivated with strong leadership qualities. In this role it will be your responsibility to assist the head chef with the daily operation of the kitchen, and really run the show in their absence, ensuring quality and consistency are maintained across the board.

The role:

- Ensuring food preparation, cooking and presentation is of a high standard at all times.

- Work independently and as part of a team to achieve a consistently excellent product.

- Menu development and planning.

- Demonstrate, implement, and maintain effective cost control strategies for both product and labour.

- Develop and maintain appropriate relationships with relevant regulatory authorities.





- Ensure HACCP, OHS compliance, and maintain correct food safety procedures.

The Person:

- Reporting to the Head Chef and General Manager you will be able to work a rotating roster over 5 days including lunch and dinner.

- You must be passionate about food and able to lead by example, with drive, enthusiasm, and attention to detail.

- You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to motivate and develop staff, and be adept at maintaining a positive team environment.

- You must have the ability to work under pressure.
