Gardener / Horticulturalist The Hobart Gardeners is looking for experienced gardeners to join our team.
We provide professional garden and lawn maintenance across Hobart, looking after a regular round of residential clients alongside garden clean-ups, pruning and hedge work.
We're looking for people with professional gardening experience who take pride in their work and enjoy maintaining gardens to a high standard.
This isn't just a lawn-mowing position. You'll be involved in the ongoing care and maintenance of our clients' gardens, with plenty of variety across the working week.
The work includes:
- Regular garden maintenance
- Pruning and plant care
- Hedge trimming and shaping
- Lawn mowing and edging
- Weeding and weed management
- Garden clean-ups
- Green waste removal
We're looking for someone who:
- Has professional gardening or horticultural experience
- Has valuable plant knowledge and pruning skills
- Takes pride in producing high-quality work
- Can work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Is reliable and communicates well
- Is comfortable dealing professionally with clients
- Holds a current driver's licence
A horticultural qualification would be highly regarded but isn't essential if you have strong practical experience.
The positions are casual, with approximately 15–30 hours per week available and the potential for additional hours and greater responsibility over time.
Pay: $38–$42 per hour + super, depending on experience.
