The Role:

We are seeking a reliable and hands-on Maintenance Assistant to join our team. This role supports the Maintenance Manager to ensure our residential aged care home is safe,



well-maintained and welcoming for residents.

Key Responsibilities:

- Complete general maintenance repairs and minor painting works.
- Assist with preventative maintenance and property upkeep.
- Respond to maintenance requests and complete required documentation.
- Set up rooms and equipment for events and activities.
- Conduct routine vehicle checks and refuelling.
- Assist the maintenance team with day-to-day operational tasks.

Key Requirements:

- Current National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain) within 6 months
- Practical maintenance, handyman or trade assistant experience preferred
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting and moving equipment
- Strong work ethic and willingness to assist where needed
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Reliable, flexible and resident-focused approach
