What you’ll be doing

- Delivering safe, high-quality, and compassionate nursing care to patients receiving cancer treatment.
- Working across Buderim and Noosa, supporting the nursing teams and patient needs at both locations.
- Completing comprehensive nursing assessments and developing and evaluating patient care plans.
- Supporting patients throughout their treatment journey and providing education to patients and their carers.
- Working collaboratively with Radiation Oncologists, Radiation Therapists, Medical Physicists, Nurses and Allied Health professionals.
- Recognising and responding appropriately to changes in a patient’s clinical condition.
- Administering medications and treatments in accordance with relevant policies, procedures and legislation.
- Confidently using electronic clinical and prescribing systems.
- Supporting the delivery of safe and effective clinical workflows.
- Contributing to quality improvement, clinical governance and patient safety initiatives.
- Supporting education and professional development within the nursing team.
- Building positive relationships with patients, carers, colleagues and other healthcare professionals.
- Supporting GenesisCare initiatives that improve patient experience, quality and efficiency.
- Participating in rostered shifts, including occasional late shifts up to 9.00pm, as required.
- Demonstrating flexibility to work across both Sunshine Coast locations according to service requirements.

What you’ll bring

- Current registration as a Nurse with AHPRA.
- Demonstrated clinical nursing experience.
- Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, guidelines and standards.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
