We are expanding our team and are looking for engaging and enthusiastic trainers to deliver the Australian Government-funded Skills for Education and Employment (SEE) Program in the Wimmera Mallee region.

n
n

These roles will primarily work with Pacific Australia Labour Mobility (PALM) scheme workers employed in the horticulture industry .

n
n

Our participants are motivated, employed learners who are looking to strengthen their English language, literacy, numeracy and digital skills to support them in the workplace and their everyday lives.

n
n

This is a great opportunity for a trainer who enjoys working with culturally diverse learners and wants to deliver practical, meaningful training with a strong workplace focus. All training and assessment resources are provided , allowing you to focus on engaging participants and delivering quality training.

nAbout the role n
n

You will:

n
n

n
n
- Deliver engaging language, literacy, numeracy and digital skills training using resources provided by Qualify
n
n
- Work with PALM scheme participants employed within the local horticulture industry
n
n
- Contextualise learning to practical workplace and everyday situations
n
n
- Use a range of teaching and communication strategies to engage learners from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds
n
n
- Conduct pre-training assessments and implement training in accordance with program and contractual requirements
n
n
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date attendance, assessment and program records
n
n
- Support participants to remain engaged and progress towards their learning goals
n
n




- Work collaboratively with employers, the Qualify team and other stakeholders to support successful participant outcomes
n
n

nSkills and Qualifications n
n

We are interested in hearing from people who hold, or are working towards, relevant training and education qualifications, including:

n
n

n
n
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment; or
n
n
- A qualification in adult education or vocational education, such as TAE40122 or equivalent; or
n
n
- A higher education qualification in education, such as a Bachelor of Education or Graduate Diploma of Education, together with the required VET skill set/s.
n
n

n
n

Foundation skills qualifications such as the TAESS00026 Foundation Skills Integration Skill Set (or equivalent) will be highly regarded.

n
n

You will also require:

n

- Working with Children Check
n
n
- Clear National Police Check
n
n
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
n
n
- An ability to engage and support learners from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds
n
n

n
n

Experience in horticulture, agriculture, workplace training or working with PALM scheme participants would be highly regarded but is not essential.
