About the Role:

n

We are seeking a Surveyor to join our Technical Services team at Blackwater on an 7/7 roster as a permanent, full time team member. This role will lead the delivery of accurate, timely and practical survey services across the operation, supporting safe production, planning, compliance, machine guidance and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Lead site survey requirements, processes and practices to support safe, accurate and efficient production outcomes
n
- Partner with production, planning, engineering and operations teams to deliver clear survey information and practical technical support
n
- Provide senior technical guidance to site stakeholders, including coaching and support for survey standards, systems and priorities
n
- Manage the application, monitoring and accuracy of machine guidance systems to support operational performance
n
- Deliver field and office survey services, including set-outs, pickups, volumes, plans and end-of-month reporting
n
- Prepare accurate survey plans, data and compliance reporting in line with site requirements and relevant standards
n
- Support and continuously improve UAV surveying capability across the operation

About You:

n

n




- Relevant surveying qualification, such as a degree or diploma in surveying
n
- Strong experience in mine surveying, ideally within open cut coal or large-scale mining operations
n
- Demonstrated ability to prepare accurate survey plans, reports, volumes and production data
n
- Confidence managing survey equipment, software, data systems and machine guidance platforms
n
- A proactive approach to solving problems, prioritising work and communicating clearly with operational teams
n
- A drone licence or experience with UAV survey workflows will be highly regarded
n
