The Role

This is a rare opportunity to take full operational ownership of a significant mining asset and play a leading role in its next phase of growth.

As General Manager, Watershed Operations, you'll be responsible for the safe, compliant and profitable performance of the operation, leading everything from mining and processing through to maintenance, technical services, site infrastructure and workforce capability. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating & Development Officer, you'll have a genuine seat at the table, influencing strategy, operational performance and long-term success.

Working on a 14:14 FIFO or DIDO roster from any major East Coast point of hire, you’ll lead a site leadership team focused on safety, operational excellence, continuous improvement and delivering results that matter.

- Leading all site operations to achieve production, cost, safety and performance targets
- Driving operational strategy, budgeting and mine-to-mill performance
- Providing explicit operational leadership to senior site teams, contractors and key stakeholders
- Maintaining the highest standards of safety, environmental compliance and risk management
- Overseeing mining operations, maintenance, reliability and site services
- Supporting operational readiness, commissioning and ramp-up activities
- Building a culture of accountability,



capability development and disciplined execution
- Reporting operational performance, risks and opportunities to executive leadership and the Board

About You You are a proven mining leader who combines operational excellence with strong commercial judgement and an uncompromising commitment to safety. In addition, you will possess the following.

- A degree in Mining Engineering, Metallurgy or a related technical discipline.
- First Class Mine Manager's Certificate of Competency and eligibility to hold Site Senior Executive responsibilities.
- 20+ years' mining experience, including significant leadership experience as a Mine Manager, General Manager or equivalent level.
- Demonstrated accountability for production, cost and safety performance on operating mine sites.
- Experience managing contractors, large operational teams and site-wide performance outcomes.
- Strong knowledge of Queensland mining legislation and statutory obligations.
- The ability to lead through change, solve complex operational challenges and deliver sustainable improvements.
