About the Role

CMYKhub VIC Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Graphic Pre-press Operator to join our production team at Keilor Park.

This is a full-time position working 37.5 hours per week over five days.

The successful applicant will prepare customer artwork and design files for commercial printing, ensuring that colours, graphics, layouts, impositions and technical specifications meet production requirements.



They will also combine strong commercial print-production knowledge with variable-data programming, Adobe InDesign automation and technical problem-solving across artwork, data and online print workflows.

The role requires strong technical knowledge of graphic pre-press processes, colour management, digital proofing and the preparation of accurate, high-resolution, print-ready files.

Key Responsibilities

· Preparing high-resolution, print-ready files for digital and offset printing

· Using pre-press, graphic design software and automation techniques (including Adobe InDesign Data Merge and GREP styles) to create and modify images, text, layouts, impositions and other visual media displays

· Checking document dimensions, bleed, trim, resolution, fonts, transparency and image quality

· Undertaking colour correction, colour management and file calibration

· Preparing files using digital workflows, including scanning, layering, combining and positioning graphic elements

· Correcting customer files and proofs to meet required production specifications

· Analysing printed samples and making adjustments to achieve the required clarity, accuracy, quality and consistency

· Preparing imposed files for printing, finishing, cutting, folding and binding processes

· Operating graphic cameras, digital tools, digital output and pre-press equipment where required

· Liaising with production staff regarding printing specifications, scheduling and technical requirements
