Our Airfield Maintenance team plays a critical role in ensuring Perth Airport’s airfield infrastructure remains safe, compliant and operational every day. You’ll work across the airport precinct maintaining runways, taxiways, aprons, roads, drainage networks, landscaped areas and other facilities that support the safe movement of aircraft, passengers and freight. This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same.

You’ll operate a range of plant and equipment while completing planned and reactive maintenance activities that contribute to the safety, presentation and functionality of Western Australia’s largest airport.

What You'll Do

- Complete preventive maintenance, defect repairs and minor works across the airport precinct.
- Maintain runways, taxiways, aprons, roads, drainage networks, landscaped areas and airside facilities.
- Operate a range of authorised plant and equipment, including loaders, skid steers, trucks, tractors and specialised machinery.
- Conduct equipment pre-start checks, basic operator maintenance and report defects.
- Respond to maintenance issues and defects,



ensuring work areas remain safe and compliant.
- Deliver high-quality maintenance and construction works that support asset performance and operational safety.
- Maintain safe worksites through hazard awareness, housekeeping and environmental controls.
- Use Microsoft Office and maintenance systems to record and manage work activities.

About You

- Experience operating plant and equipment in maintenance, construction, landscaping, civil, mining, utilities, agriculture or similar industries.
- Strong commitment to safety and working within procedures, permits and operational requirements.
- Ability to identify hazards, assess risks and take appropriate action.
- Reliable team player who enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in delivering quality work.
- Practical problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance activities.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and learning new systems and technology.
- Relevant licences, tickets, trade qualifications or aerodrome experience will be highly regarded.
- Willingness to learn, develop new skills and complete ongoing training and competency requirements.
