About the Role

Norton Gold Fields is seeking a Haulage Maintenance Trades Assistant to join our Mobile Haulage Maintenance team at Paddington Operations.

Working alongside trades personnel, you will provide practical support across day-to-day haulage maintenance activities, helping ensure equipment, tools, work areas and maintenance materials are kept safe, clean and organised.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist trades personnel with day-to-day mobile haulage maintenance activities.

- Clean machine and equipment components and prepare them for transport.

- Assist with stores activities, deliveries and pickups as required.

- Conduct routine stocktakes of GET, consumables, oils and other maintenance materials.

- Maintain and organise storage areas, inwards/outwards bays and laydown areas.

- Clean and maintain tools, tool stores and general haulage maintenance work areas.

- Operate forklifts safely and assist with material handling activities.

- Follow all site safety, environmental and statutory requirements.

- Complete assigned tasks within required timeframes and to a standard that minimises rework.





- Undertake other duties as required to support the Haulage Maintenance team.

About You To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Previous experience in a similar Trades Assistant or maintenance support role.

- Knowledge and experience in safe forklift operation.

- A mature and reliable approach with a strong team focus.

- Good interpersonal and communication skills.

- The ability to communicate clearly and effectively via two-way radio.

- The ability to read, write and communicate in English to an Australian secondary school standard.

- Basic to intermediate computer skills.

- A strong commitment to workplace safety and environmental standards.

Mandatory Requirements

- Current unrestricted C Class Western Australian Driver’s Licence.

- Current HR Class Western Australian Driver’s Licence, or willingness to work towards obtaining one.

- Current Forklift / High Risk Work Licence.
