ARRA Coffee & Wine is a high-volume neighbourhood coffee shop and wine bar in Fitzroy with a strong base of loyal regulars. We are looking for an experienced Part-Time Head Barista to lead coffee service and set the standard for customer experience.

This role requires exceptional customer service, strong POS skills, and the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment. We operate with a small, close-knit team of six, so reliability, communication and ownership are essential.

The role

- Lead and oversee daily coffee and bar operations
- Dial in and prepare espresso and filter coffee to a consistently high standard
- Deliver fast, accurate service during high-volume periods
- Provide outstanding customer service to a large base of regular customers
- Confidently operate POS systems and handle transactions accurately
- Train, support and supervise baristas and FOH staff
- Manage workflow, multitask effectively and prioritise under pressure
- Maintain cleanliness, organisation and stock levels at all times
- Liaise closely with management on service standards and improvements

What we’re looking for
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in specialty coffee
- Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service in high-volume venues
- Strong POS skills and cash-handling accuracy




- Experience dialling in multiple coffees and managing consistency
- Leadership experience within a small team
- Excellent multitasking and time-management skills
- Calm, professional and solution-focused under pressure
- Experience with food and wine service is a bonus
