About the role

As Head Barista at Tide Café Catering, you'll be responsible for leading and supporting our barista team in a fast-paced, high-volume café with a strong focus on quality coffee, outstanding food and exceptional customer service. You'll deliver consistently excellent coffee, maintain coffee quality, consistency and presentation, and create a welcoming and positive experience for our customers.

Key responsibilities

- Leading and supporting our barista team
- Delivering consistently excellent coffee in a high-volume environment
- Maintaining coffee quality, consistency and presentation
- Training and mentoring baristas to maintain high standards
- Managing coffee station operations, including stock control, ordering and equipment maintenance
- Working closely with management to ensure smooth daily operations
- Creating a welcoming and positive experience for our customers

About you

- Extensive barista experience, preferably in a busy, high-volume café




- Strong leadership skills and enjoys developing a team
- Excellent knowledge of espresso extraction, milk texturing and latte art
- Can maintain speed, efficiency and quality during busy service periods
- Reliable, organised and takes initiative
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Brings a positive attitude and works well within a team
- Previous experience in a Head Barista or senior barista position will be highly regarded
