/n Seven West Media is seeking a strategic, commercially minded finance leader to join our Perth-based team as Head of Financial Accounting. /n /n Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of robust, accurate and timely financial reporting. As a trusted partner to senior leaders across the business, you will influence decision-making through commercial insight, strong financial stewardship and a commitment to delivering reporting excellence. /n /n Leading a team of financial accountants, you will champion governance, compliance and continuous improvement while helping drive organisational performance and strategic growth. This is a highly visible leadership opportunity offering broad exposure across the business, significant executive engagement and the ability to make a meaningful impact beyond the finance function. /n /n About the role: /n The role plays a critical role in shaping financial performance through strong leadership, commercial partnership and the delivery of accurate and insightful financial information that supports strategic business outcomes. /n /n /n

- /n Leading the preparation and review of monthly financial and management reporting across the Group. /n
- /n Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of general ledger accounting, journals, reconciliations and financial analysis. /n
- /n Delivering meaningful financial insights, commentary and recommendations to the CFO and Group stakeholders. /n
- /n Managing cash flow, working capital and intercompany reporting activities. /n
- /n Overseeing fixed asset accounting and lease reporting in accordance with accounting standards, including AASB16. /n
- /n Leading statutory reporting requirements, including half-year and year-end financial statements. /n
- /n Managing relationships with external auditors and coordinating audit activities. /n
- /n Supporting budgeting, forecasting and business planning activities. /n
- /n Preparing and reviewing business cases,



commercial analysis and ad hoc strategic projects. /n
- /n Providing financial guidance on contracts, compliance and reporting obligations, including Contemporary Slavery reporting requirements. /n
- /n Leading, mentoring and developing a team of finance professionals across financial accounting and shared services. /n
- /n Driving continuous improvement initiatives across finance systems, processes, controls and reporting. /n /n /n About you: /n You are a highly capable finance professional with a strong technical accounting background and a passion for leadership, business partnering and continuous improvement. /n /n You will bring: /n /n /n
- /n CA or CPA qualification. /n
- /n Degree qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline. /n
- /n Extensive post-qualification experience within a commercial environment. /n
- /n A valid National Police Check or the willingness to obtain one. /n
- /n Demonstrated experience leading and developing high-performing finance teams. /n
- /n Strong technical accounting expertise, including statutory and management reporting. /n
- /n Experience working with auditors and managing complex reporting obligations. /n
- /n Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate financial information into business insights. /n
- /n Excellent stakeholder management skills with the confidence to engage at executive level. /n
- /n Advanced Excel capabilities and experience working with ERP systems. /n
- /n Outstanding communication, presentation and relationship-building skills. /n
- /n The ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results within tight deadlines. /n




- /n Experience within the media, publishing or broader corporate sector will be highly regarded. /n
