Position Summary

ANZ Head of People and Culture serves as the strategic HR business partner to the ANZ Managing Director and senior leadership team, responsible for shaping and executing the people agenda to support business growth. This role oversees talent acquisition, talent management, organizational development, employee relations, and culture—while ensuring alignment with APAC People and Culture strategies and local business needs. As the business is in rapid growth, we are expecting to find someone who can “swing” between strategy and operation – thinking long term, with operation excellence in short term.

1. Strategic HR Leadership

- Act as a trusted advisor to the ANZ Managing Director and leadership team, providing guidance on organizational strategy, workforce planning, and people-related decisions.
- Translate business priorities into an HR strategy and execution roadmap aligned with APAC People and Culture frameworks.
- Influence organizational design to optimize performance and support future business needs.

2. Talent Management & Organizational Development

- Lead performance management, talent review, and succession planning processes, which aligns with APAC practice
- Identify and develop high-potential employees through targeted development plans and learning initiatives.

3. Employee Engagement & Culture

- Champion a positive, inclusive, and high-performance culture.
- Design and deliver engagement strategies and action plans based on employee insights.
- Serve as a culture ambassador and change-management leader for ANZ.

4. Talent Acquisition & Employer Branding

- Lead the end-to-end Talent Acquisition strategy and implementation,



building robust pipelines for critical roles in a competitive ANZ talent market.
- Strengthen recruitment processes, tools, and candidate experience.
- Partner with marketing and regional TA teams to enhance employer branding and market visibility.

5. Total Rewards & HR Operations

- Partner with APAC rewards teams on annual processes (merit cycles, benchmarking, policy updates).
- Ensure HR operations excellence through standardized processes, HR systems utilization, and data integrity.

6. Employee Relations & Compliance

- Ensure ANZ operations comply with local labor laws, regulations, and corporate policies.
- Manage employee relations matters with judgment, fairness, and timely resolution.
- Ensure managers are trained and supported in people management practices.

7. Team Collaboration

- Collaborate closely with APAC People and Culture VP and regional COEs (TA, Rewards, L&D;, HR Systems) to implement regional initiatives locally.

Hiring Requirements:

Experience/Skills/Education

- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- 12+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally in multinational consumer goods, FMCG, or related industries.
- Experience in recruiting in with good understanding of the various sourcing platforms
- Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced growth environment
- Resourceful, strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good knowledge of local labour laws, HR principles and practice of ANZ
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to excel in a multi-cultural environment
