Project Information ACCIONA is the major construction partner delivering the Eyre Peninsula Desalination Plant at Billy Lights Point, Port Lincoln, South Australia. The 5.3 GL/year reverse osmosis plant will provide climate-independent drinking water security for 35,000 SA Water customers. It's a landmark water security project, including tunnelled marine pipeline infrastructure to protect the coastline.

About the Opportunity As Safety Manager, you will deliver the Regional Safety Strategy for ACCIONA's South Australian projects, initially based on a current Adelaide project before transitioning to a new project as you build familiarity with ACCIONA's systems and processes. You will develop and shape the Safety Management Plan, engaging and influencing senior leaders and front-line teams to build genuine OH&S; capability.

This is a newly created role as ACCIONA grows its South Australian presence,



giving you real scope to reduce duplication, simplify processes and shape how safety operates across the region.

Key accountabilities for the position will be:

- Develop and shape the Safety Management Plan to mitigate risks
- Build safety capability using contemporary approaches and technology
- Drive safety initiatives and technology to lead industry best practice
- Design, develop and improve OH&S; programs and processes
- Conduct safety audits, inspections, risk workshops and leadership forums
- Monitor regulatory changes and communicate updates to stakeholders
- Analyse safety performance metrics to identify improvement areas

What capability and experience will you need to have:

- Tertiary degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field
- Extensive experience in construction safety management
- Strong understanding of construction processes, equipment and hazards
- In-depth knowledge of state and federal safety regulations
- Ability to work on site and travel as required
