HC Truck Driver – Interstate & Local Deliveries

$48 per hour + $75 overnight allowance | Full-time

The Opportunity

n

We are currently seeking an experienced HC Truck Driver to join our client's transport team in a full-time capacity.

n

This position will involve both local and interstate deliveries, with the requirement to be away from home for approximately 2–3 nights per week.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Complete local and interstate deliveries safely and efficiently
n
- Operate semi-trailers and heavy vehicles
n
- Load, unload and secure freight
n
- Tie down and secure loads in accordance with safety requirements
n
- Operate forklifts when required
n
- Complete general yard duties
n
- Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the truck
n
- Carry out general truck upkeep and report any maintenance issues
n
- Provide professional customer service during deliveries
n
- Complete required paperwork and delivery documentation
n

Skills & Experience

n

n
- Current HC licence or higher
n




- Minimum 1 year of relevant truck driving experience
n
- Current Forklift licence and demonstrated experience
n
- Previous experience with load restraint and tying down loads – essential
n
- Good level of physical fitness
n
- Strong communication and customer service skills
n
- A professional and reliable approach to work
n
- Ability to work independently and manage delivery schedules
n
- Flexibility to stay away from home for 2–3 nights per week
n

MC licence will be highly regarded.
