Local Guardians (LG) is a national independent government-funded home care provider. Their service empowers older adults with government funded home care to maximise their care hours with creative technology and local customer service. Their aim is to consistently deliver very high service and a personalised approach.
LG are technology driven and independent of care delivery, so clients choose their own support workers from their trusted local provider network or their own workers, negotiating their own rates where appropriate.
LG operates with simplicity and local accountability. Clients deal directly with locally based care advisors, no call centres, no hand-offs, no bureaucracy. LG systems minimise administration so more time and funding go directly to care.

Role Overview The purpose of this prospect is to manage a bespoke and personalised service within the Yarra Ranges region. Ideally suited to an individual who is deeply rooted within the local community, you will look after SAH participants in the region, representing the LG brand.
Operating under a contractor agreement, you will experience autonomy to meet the agreement criteria all whilst being supported and trained from the head office team.
You will benefit from the flexibility of working from home with no office overheads and become a become a trusted local advisor in your community.
The two key pillars in this role are Care Management; Ensuring clients receive exceptional support and Community Engagement; continuing to develop the LG presence across the Yarra Ranges.
Additionally, you will:
- Strengthen networks with care partners for referral purposes
- Identify potential SAH participants
- Engage, educate, and convert client leads and prospects
- Provide expert care management and service coordination
- Form your own local team as your business grows
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards
Key Skills Required
- Excellent relationship-building and communication skills
- Experience in the Aged Care sector (particularly Home Care / Support at Home) is ideal
- Ability to work independently and remotely
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations is beneficial
- Local to the Yarra Ranges region
- Full working rights required
