Allship Engineering is seeking a HSE & Asset Coordinator for work within the marine sector of Defence industry. The primary work location is our workshop in Henderson, WA, and various sites in the Fremantle/Henderson/Rockingham areas. Travel to our Sydney workshop approximately 3 days per month is required as part of the role.
Allship Engineering's core work routine is a 4-day work routine, 0630-1630 Mon-Thu.
Police check no older than 30 days must be provided.
Baseline security clearance is required for this position. Due to the security clearance requirement, applicants must be an Australian citizen.
Core Duties & Responsibilities (full position description will be provided during interview stage):
- Ensure the WHS Management System remains compliant with applicable legislation, regulatory requirements, and ISO management system standards.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory changes, communicate relevant updates to the workforce, and coordinate actions required to maintain compliance.
- Conduct workplace inspections, audits and compliance assessments and participate in client,
regulatory and third-party audits, ensuring findings are addressed and closed out effectively.
- Lead or support incident investigations, determine root causes, implement corrective actions, and prepare detailed incident reports.
- Ensure testing and tagging of electrical and lifting equipment is conducted and recorded in accordance with applicable legislative and organisational requirements.
- Develop, implement, review and continuously improve WHS policies, procedures, plans, Protected Work Method Statements (SWMS), Job Safety Analyses (JSA), Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and associated safety documentation.
Education & Qualification Requirements:
- Minimum Cert IV in WHS (BSB41419) (essential).
- Construction White Card (essential).
- Driver's Licence (essential).
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Demonstrated experience working with ISO accredited systems.
- Defence Industry experience.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
