We are partnering with an established education business specialising in high-achieving NSW high school mathematics students.

The organisation delivers advanced mathematics education across Stage 5.3 and Stage 6, including Advanced, Extension I and Extension II Mathematics. Its teaching model combines structured curriculum frameworks with live, interactive lectures designed to help capable students develop deeper mathematical understanding and achieve outstanding HSC results.

We are looking for an experienced High School Mathematics Lecturer to join the teaching team on a full-time basis.

About the Role

This is a teaching-focused position for someone who genuinely enjoys mathematics and can communicate challenging concepts clearly and engagingly.

You will take ownership of one or more teaching streams, guiding students through a complete academic year across the relevant NSW mathematics curriculum.

Lessons are delivered live to groups of approximately 20–60 students, with sessions also recorded and made available to students.

You will work closely with the education leadership team to develop lesson structures, refine teaching approaches and ensure students are consistently challenged throughout the year.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and deliver engaging mathematics lectures across areas including algebra, calculus, probability, geometry, trigonometry, complex numbers, vectors, mechanics and statistics.
- Take ownership of one or more Stage 5.3 and/or Stage 6 Mathematics streams.
- Teach Advanced,



Extension I and/or Extension II Mathematics depending on experience.
- Develop lessons that encourage students to reason through unfamiliar problems rather than simply apply memorised techniques.
- Explain complex mathematical concepts in a clear, intuitive and engaging way.
- Adapt your pace, explanations and delivery to the needs of a live classroom.
- Work collaboratively with the education leadership team to prepare and refine lessons.
- Support students throughout a full 12-month teaching cycle and across the relevant syllabus.
- Introduce concepts beyond the formal syllabus where they help students develop stronger mathematical intuition and problem-solving ability.

About You

- Demonstrated experience teaching Stage 5.3, Advanced, Extension I and/or Extension II Mathematics.
- Solid academic foundations in mathematics, with university-level study in areas such as differential equations, real or complex analysis, group theory, abstract algebra, set theory and logic, metric spaces or vector calculus.
- A demonstrated history of engaging students and helping them achieve strong academic outcomes.
- A genuine interest in mathematics beyond simply preparing students for examinations.




- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- The ability to confidently deliver extended lessons and hold the attention of a live audience.

Desirable Experience

- Experience with mathematics competitions or Olympiad mathematics.
- Academic or professional interests outside mathematics, such as philosophy, economics, engineering or history.
- Experience presenting or teaching in front of large groups.
- Experience delivering recorded or streamed educational content.
- Basic knowledge of LaTeX.
