Front of House & Crèche Support The Yard Gym Southport | Casual | 10–15 hours per week
JOIN OUR TEAM The Yard Gym Southport is looking for a positive, proactive and reliable person to join our growing team in a predominantly Front of House role, with additional support in our in-house crèche.
We're a family-owned boutique strength and conditioning studio built around community, connection and genuine care for our members.

You'll work closely with our incredible team of coaches to deliver an exceptional member experience, promote our services and support the continued growth of our studio.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Your responsibilities will include
- Welcoming and checking in members, providing exceptional customer service.
- Responding to enquiries, promoting our services and confidently supporting membership sales.
- Building relationships through member engagement and follow-up messages.
- Capturing social media content to showcase our classes, coaches and community.
- Maintaining high standards of studio presentation and hygiene, including general cleaning and tidying, vacuuming, mopping and bins.
- Supervising young children in our in-house crèche for up to 3 hours per week (maximum 50 minutes per session). Children are generally 6 months , and creche shifts generally include between 1 - 5 children per session.
- Supporting our coaching team and assisting with daily studio operations.

EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS
Essential:
- Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card).
- Valid First Aid and CPR certificates.
- Previous reception, customer service or similar experience.
- Experience in child minding, babysitting, childcare or an educational care setting.
- A genuine interest in the health and fitness industry.
Desirable:
- Previous sales experience, particularly in a membership-based business.
- Social media content creation experience.
- Previous experience in a fitness or wellness environment.
Training will be provided on our studio systems, services and membership offerings.
HOURS & AVAILABILITY
This casual position offers approximately 10–15 hours per week, with additional shifts available as required.
Applicants must be available for:
- Monday mornings:
approximately 5:40am–10:00am
- Friday mornings: approximately 5:40am–10:00am
- Saturday mornings: approximately 6:00am–8:30am
Monday afternoon availability (approximately 4:00pm–6:30pm) is highly desirable.
Additional shifts may be available throughout the week to cover staff leave and changing studio requirements. Availability over the Christmas period is highly desirable.
This role may suit a university student or someone seeking additional hours alongside other employment.
