We're currently seeking an experienced Contracts Administrator to join our Canberra team, working on the HMAS Harman project.

About the Project - HMAS Harman

Located in Canberra, HMAS Harman is a key Royal Australian Navy establishment supporting Defence operations and personnel.

Our project at HMAS Harman presents an opportunity to be part of a specialised Defence construction environment, contributing to the delivery of important infrastructure within an operational Defence facility.

Working alongside an experienced project team, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to a project requiring strong collaboration, careful planning and a commitment to quality, safety and successful project delivery.

For an experienced Contracts Administrator, this is an opportunity to broaden your project experience within the Defence sector while playing an important role in the successful commercial delivery of the project.

The Role

As a Contracts Administrator at RCC,



you will play a key role in the successful delivery of the HMAS Harman project through effective contract management, subcontractor administration and commercial support across the full project lifecycle.

Working closely with the Project Manager and broader delivery team, responsibilities will include:

- Administration of subcontractor and supplier contracts
- Managing variations, progress claims and contract documentation
- Assisting with procurement and tender processes
- Monitoring contractual compliance and project risk
- Liaising with consultants, subcontractors and project stakeholders
- Supporting forecasting, reporting and cost control processes
- Managing project documentation and maintaining accurate records
- Assisting with claims management and project closeout procedures

What We're Looking For

- Previous experience in a Contracts Administrator role within the construction industry
- Exposure to commercial, Defence, government or large-scale building projects
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Sound understanding of construction contracts and contract administration principles
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- A collaborative and proactive approach to project delivery
- Relevant Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or Building qualifications
