As Service Manager, you'll be reporting only to the Director (owner) and partnering with the Production Manager to lead and support the success of the entire team and business. This is a hands‑on leadership position, working alongside staff every day ensuring safe, efficient and effective activities and high quality customer services. The role also works 'behind the scenes' helping to structure, manage and administer the business. The Service Manager is a trouble shooter, whether that's sorting out a broken washing machine and pitching in when the peak of the day hits, or running recruitment activities and managing client relationships.

Key responsibilities

- Lead and manage all aspects of laundry operations in a high-volume environment
- Oversee production schedules, workflow planning and resource allocation
- Troubleshoot issues, blockages and efficiencies in a timely and efficient manner
- Monitor KPIs and report on operational outcomes and continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with the GM and other departments to meet service and business goals
- Build, mentor and manage a high-performing team across production and despatch
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and performance
- Proactively preserve and develop customer relationships, exploring new opportunities amongst existing customer base and new business prospects
- Drive a strong safety and quality culture in line with WHS and industry standards and regulatory requirements

About you

- Proven experience in an operations or production leadership role
- Confident administration skills, computer literacy and business judgement




- Ability to demonstrate strong team leadership and communication skills
- A practical solutions-focused approach and attention to detail
- Knowledge of WHS standards and operational compliance requirements
- A hands‑on proactive attitude and commitment to getting the job done right - efficiency without compromising standards
- Experience in a manufacturing, logistics or laundry services environment (desirable)
- A willingness to learn and implement new ideas and systems
- Physical capacity to lift, bend, twist, stand, walk without restriction and consistent with safe manual handling practices
- Unrestricted Drivers Licence (car) and ability/willingness to operate car-license trucks where incidentally required to support operations
