KDV-Sport Pty Ltd We are seeking a skilled and reliable Sous Chef to join our kitchen team at a busy, award-winning sports and leisure complex in Carrara. You will play a key role in preparing high-quality meals for our onsite bar and grill, catering to a steady flow of guests enjoying golf, tennis, and fitness facilities as well as functions and events.

Working closely with the kitchen and front-of-house team, you will help deliver fresh, well-presented food consistently, even during busy service periods. Task & responsibilities

n

- Develop menu plans, calculate food and staffing costs, and coordinate the ordering of kitchen supplies
n
- Check dishes throughout every stage of preparation and plating to maintain consistent standards
n
- Communicate with Managers, Dietitians, and both kitchen and front-of-house staff to address any issues related to food preparation
n
- Guide staff through cooking techniques and provide advice on preparation methods
n
- Carry out the cooking and preparation of meals
n
- Apply and reinforce hygiene standards across the kitchen
n




- May be involved in recruiting and training kitchen staff
n
- May be responsible for freezing and preserving food items
n

Qualification & experience

n

n
- Minimum of 12 months' relevant experience working as a Chef is required.
n
- A Diploma-level qualification, such as the Diploma of Hospitality Management, is required for this role.
