Maxwell Recruitment is currently seeking two Trade-Qualified Mechanical Fitters for project and maintenance work at a remote water treatment facility near Chinchilla, Queensland.
The successful candidates will work alongside experienced site fitters, completing additional project work while supporting the site’s regular maintenance activities.
The positions are expected to run until the end of 2026, with mobilisation planned for September.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the derating of sections of a water treatment plant
- Remove and replace pumps, valves and pipe spools
- Complete mechanical maintenance across different sections of the facility
- Perform planned, preventative and reactive maintenance
- Assist with general plant repairs and mechanical project work
About You
To be considered for this role, you will have:
- Australian-recognised Mechanical Fitter Trade Certificate
- Previous industrial maintenance experience
- Experience working with pumps, valves, pipework and mechanical plant
- Construction White Card
- Robust commitment to workplace health and safety
