The ICT Procurement & Contract Support Officer in the Operations and Performance Branch provides procurement and contract management advice and support to eHealth business units, delivering patient critical information systems to Hospitals and Health services and the Department across Queensland.

What you'll do

- Provide ICT procurement and contracts support advice to the eHealth Contracts and Procurement team, client business areas, eHQ stakeholders and external vendors to facilitate procurement and contract activities and to respond to enquiries.
- Actively assist in the design, implementation and maintenance of quality management systems and controls for internal procedures, systems and documentation to enhance the operation of the organisation.
- Maintain a detailed documentary record of ICT procurement and processes, decisions and contractual arrangements undertaken ensuring the audit trail is adequately maintained and documented for probity, accountability and audit purposes.
- Assist the eHealth Contracts and Procurement team to identify, progress and resolve compliance, auditing and reporting issues relating to ICT procurement and contract activities
- Analyse and review ICT procurement and contract documentation to ensure compliance in accordance with relevant organisational procurement policies, procedures and the delegations framework prior to seeking delegate approval.




- Build and maintain effective work relationships with clients and stakeholders through liaison and communication with other areas in eHealth Queensland, Hospital and Health Services and other government departments, agencies and suppliers
- Maintain accurate and up to date ICT contracts and maintenance registers, contributing to the development of Terms of Reference for the utilisation of contractor engagement.

About you

We are searching for someone who has:

- Knowledge of, or the ability to acquire knowledge of, practices and procedures related to the ICT procurement and contracts function, particularly in relation to government ICT purchasing and tendering guidelines.
- Demonstrated conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage information and provide advice on procedures, policies and solutions in relation to ICT procurement and contract management
- Ability to effectively manage time and work priorities to achieve specified outcomes within tight timeframes and deadlines.
- Ability to develop productive relationships with internal clients and suppliers and respond under direction to changes in client needs and expectations.
