The ICT Procurement and Contract Officer, Contracts and Procurement, in the Operations and Performance Branch provides procurement and contract management advice and support to eHealth business units, providing procurement and contract management advice and support to eHealth business units and customers across Queensland Health, delivering patient critical information systems to Hospitals and Health services and the Department across Queensland.
What you'll do
- Manage low to medium cost/risk ICT procurement and contract management activities to enhance strategic focus and ensure probity and accountability of the process aligns with Queensland Procurement Policy and other standards and legislative requirements.
- Assist Senior Procurement and Contract Officers and Managers with high cost/risk ICT procurement and contract management activities and undertake tasks as directed.
- You will have responsibility for delivering ICT procurement and contract management services including:
- - Providing high quality ICT procurement and contract advice
- - Undertaking procurement and contract management planning activities
- - Releasing and running RFQ/ITO processes through QTenders
- - Drafting, developing and negotiating contracts for the purchase of ICT products and services using Queensland Information Technology Conditions (QITC) and other appropriate ICT contracting frameworks
- - Maintaining systems with up-to-date procurement and contract data
- Provide support to Director and Team Leads in the delivery of complex procurement and contract management activities.
About you
We are searching for someone who:
- Supports strategic direction: Demonstrated knowledge and experience implementing contemporary procurement and contract management strategies, policies and procedures particularly in the context of public sector ICT.
- Achieves results: Demonstrated ability to develop options and strategies to resolve ICT procurement and contract management issues of moderate complexity.
- Support productive working relationships: Experience in stakeholder management to support the procurement and contract management function including the ability to build and maintain appropriate relationships with team members and stakeholders.
- Displays personal drive and integrity: Demonstrated ability to deliver high quality ICT procurement and contract management outcomes whilst managing conflicting priorities and tight timeframes.
- Communicates with influence: Demonstrated communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills, including the ability to advise and influence clients and senior management on ICT procurement and contract management issues.
