About the Role

Reporting to the Coordinator – Immunisation Services the core responsibilities include:

- Provide Immunisations as per NIP to eligible clients who attend community Immunisation sessions ensuring best practice principles and following MPS policies and procedures.
- Provide information and advice about Immunisation to Parents/Guardians of children who attend community immunisation sessions.
- Provide Immunisations as per NIP to Secondary students who attend Secondary School Immunisation programs, ensuring best practice principles and following MPS policies and procedures.




- Provide Immunisations to MPS staff through the MPS Staff Immunisation sessions ensuring best practice principles and following MPS policies and procedures.

About You

- Current AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse Division 1
- Qualified Victorian Nurse immuniser
- Evidence of successful annual completion of Immunisation emergency training.
- Demonstrated experience in childhood & Secondary School Immunisation programs is desirable, but not essential for the right candidate.
- High level of verbal and written communication skills and an ability to use persuasion and influencing skills.
- Specialised knowledge of the relevant issues and legislation pertinent to Immunisation practice.
- Understanding of Immunisation software and databases and other relevant data base operations.
- Knowledge of Vitavo Immunisation software would be an advantage.
