FlyFree Retractable Insect Screens at Brendale is looking for a Casual Sewing Machine operator for 2-3 days a week. We make custom retractable flyscreens; our machinist needs to be comfortable operating a twin needle and single needle machine. The job entails cutting, measuring, and sewing lightweight flyscreen material.
Key responsibilities
- Operating twin needle and single needle sewing machines
- Cutting and measuring lightweight flyscreen material
- Sewing flyscreen material
- Occasionally assisting with loading recent rolls of mesh
- Helping in other areas of the factory, including cutting and assembly of aluminium components
About you
- Experience with industrial sewing machines
- Willingness to learn
- Exceptional ability to accurately read,
write and transfer measurements
- Physically fit, as you will be required to occasionally assist loading new rolls of mesh
- A clean and tidy worker who takes pride in their environment and work
- Open to helping in other areas of the factory
