/n This is an opportunity for an Intermediate Accountant to join a high-profile boutique firm in the Melbourne CBD. The role will suit someone with around 3 years of Australian public practice experience who wants stronger technical development, greater client exposure, and a clear pathway to continue progressing.
/n /n You will work with large, complex clients, including groups with turnover above $100m, while receiving direct access to Partners, regular leadership check-ins, and ongoing training.
/n /n The firm offers a broader service model than a traditional accounting practice, giving you exposure to accounting, tax advice, wealth management, lending and private family management.

/n The Role
/n As an Intermediate Accountant, you will support a portfolio of large and complex clients across tax, accounting and business services work.
/n /n Your responsibilities will include: /n /n
- Preparing income tax returns for individuals, sole traders, companies and trusts
/n
- Preparing financial statements and detailed working papers
/n
- Preparing BAS and state tax returns, including payroll tax and land tax where required
/n
- Researching tax issues and assisting with draft advice for Managers and Partners
/n
- Liaising with the ATO, OSR, clients and other professionals
/n
- Supporting timely and accurate completion of client work
/n
- Working with contemporary systems including MYOB AE, Xero and Excel
/n
- Building your technical skills across complex structures and higher-value client groups
/n What You'll Bring/n
/n /n
- Accounting degree from an Australian institution
/n
- At least 3 years of experience in an Australian accounting firm
/n
- CA or CPA completed or underway
/n
- Strong understanding of accounting and taxation fundamentals
/n
- Experience preparing financial statements and tax returns for multiple entity types
/n
- Ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities
/n
- Motivation to keep developing technically and professionally
