Love solving puzzles, keeping things organised and helping teams run smoothly? This could be your next move!
As our Roster Support Officer, you’ll keep rosters on track, make sure the right people are in the right place at the right time, and support managers with everything from leave and vacant shifts to workforce systems and payroll queries.
You’ll be the go-to problem solver, building great relationships, fixing issues, juggling priorities and keeping things accurate and compliant — even when things get busy!
If you’re organised, calm under pressure, a confident communicator and enjoy finding practical solutions, we’d love to hear from you. Experience with Workbrain or myHR is a bonus, but a willingness to learn is key.
Bring your organisation skills. Solve the tricky stuff. Help keep our teams moving.
About us:
At CQ Health, our Workforce and Organisational Capability team is all about one thing — our people.
We help attract great people, support them to grow and develop, and create a workplace where everyone can thrive. From learning and development to wellbeing, safety, performance and change, we're here to make the employee experience the best it can be.
With around 40 HR professionals across the team, we work closely with managers and staff throughout Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service to provide a high-quality, people-focused HR service that makes a real difference.
About the role:
- Make the roster work. Create, maintain and coordinate rosters to make sure the right people are in the right place at the right time, while providing friendly, customer-focused support to managers.
- Keep things running smoothly. Manage time and attendance, unplanned leave, vacant shifts and redeployments,
helping ensure accurate scheduling and pay outcomes.
- Be the go-to support. Build strong relationships with managers, provide advice on rostering and workforce systems, and help teams navigate changing processes and current ways of working.
- Keep it accurate and compliant. Review reports, fix errors, maintain records and stay up to date with relevant awards, agreements and HR policies — all while supporting safe, high-quality services.
About you:
- Experience with Workbrain and/or myHR is highly desirable, along with a good understanding of rostering or payroll in a large and complex environment.
- Can look at a tricky rostering or workforce issue, work out what's going on and find a practical solution. You're also ready to quickly learn Queensland Health systems, awards and industrial requirements.
- Great at juggling priorities, staying calm under pressure and getting things done when workloads are high and deadlines are tight.
- Communicate clearly and confidently, building positive relationships with managers and colleagues and working together to find the best way forward.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $90,801 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $41.17 - $45.79 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution

Additional Benefits:
