Disability Support Workers (Inverell city - NSW)

We are growing and currently have a Disability Support Worker vacancy in Inverell.

The Role:

We are urgently looking for Disability Support Workers to fill positions available in New England: Inverell city - NSW and surrounding areas.

Job Type: Casual / Permanent Part-Time

SCHADS award periodic (hourly) pay rates and benefits are applicable for the right candidates

You will provide a range of support services, dependent upon the client's requirements, personal care and community access. Suitable candidate must be available evenings (or overnights) and weekends.

Professional Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

- minimum 2 years of experience: previous disability assistance – Behavioural Management / Dementia/ Aged Care
- Cert III/or IV in Disability/Community Support/Aged Care support or willingness to obtain.
- Proof of 3 doses of COVID19 Vaccination Requirements being met (including of the validation of the medical exemptions, if any) under the NSW Public Health Order
- Individual Support Plan knowledge required
- In-depth understanding of NDIS and Aged Care industry requirements – is a must
- In-depth person-centred support experience
- Empathy and the ability to build solid relationships
- Experience in physical and/or intellectual disabilities and In- home support
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Have a reliable, registered and comprehensively insured vehicle
- Have a current Australian NSW Driver's Licence
- Own a smartphone with Internet access
- Current NDIS Clearance (which replaced National Police Clearance)




- Current Working with Children check (if requested)
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Valid working rights within Australia

Ideally: residing in Inverell and surrounding areas or willing to travel to those areas
