We haul coal, intermodal containers, steel, and bulk commodities that keep Australia moving. /n We’re looking for an experienced IT Project Delivery Office (PDO) Lead to provide governance, delivery assurance, financial oversight and analysis across our IT project portfolio. /n Working closely with Project Managers, Finance and business stakeholders, you’ll help ensure projects are well planned, appropriately governed, financially controlled and aligned to approved business outcomes. /n What you’ll be doing /n /n
- Support the planning and delivery of IT projects, including budget, schedule, risk and resource management. /n
- Provide portfolio governance, reporting and delivery assurance. /n
- Manage project financials, including budgets, forecasts, actuals and variance reporting. /n
- Develop business cases, financial models and benefits realisation tracking. /n
- Prepare reports and governance packs for senior stakeholders and committees. /n
- Oversee project procurement, vendor management and financial commitments. /n
- Support requirements management, change planning and implementation readiness. /n
- Drive continuous improvement across project governance, reporting and financial controls. /n /n What we’re looking for /n You’ll bring demonstrated experience working in a Project Delivery Office or similar portfolio environment, ideally within a heavy industry, infrastructure, transport or other regulated environment. /n You’ll ideally have:

- Experience managing financial oversight and analysis across large, complex IT projects or programs. /n
- Solid understanding of project lifecycle, governance, reporting and risk management. /n
- Strong financial management skills, including budgets, forecasts, Capex/Opex and cost control. /n
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn complex information into clear insights and actions. /n
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including experience working with senior leaders and governance forums. /n
- Strong business analysis capability, including requirements assurance, process mapping and current/future-state analysis. /n
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities. /n
- Experience with tools such as MS Project, Azure DevOps, JIRA, Confluence, Excel and PowerPoint. /n
- Experience with financial and reporting systems such as PeopleSoft, Power BI or Tableau. /n /n A tertiary qualification in Business, Project Management, Finance, Accounting or a related discipline is desirable, as is a project management certification such as PRINCE2, PMBOK or BABOK. /n Why join us? /n At Pacific National we value diversity, inclusion, and the contribution of each team member.
