Work from home onsite client support across Sydney suburbs

Full time | Part-time considered for the right candidate(If specifically desired)

About ClubIT

ClubIT is a growing Managed IT Services company providing IT support, cyber security, cloud, communications, networking and technology consulting to businesses across NSW.

We specialise in industries including Clubs & Gaming, Aged Care, Healthcare and other highly regulated organisations, where reliable technology and great support genuinely matter.

We're an innovative, agile team with a fairly relaxed culture. We're casual most of the time, but when it's game time, we're extremely professional and focused on getting the job done properly.

We also believe flexibility works.

For this Sydney-based role, your normal day-to-day helpdesk and remote support work will primarily be completed from home, rather than requiring you to sit in an office until 5pm.

You'll also regularly visit our Sydney clients for preventative maintenance, projects, troubleshooting and onsite support.

Our Sydney clients are predominantly located throughout the Sydney suburbs rather than the CBD, so you'll need to be comfortable travelling between client sites when required.

For us, it's about outcomes: doing great work, looking after the client and getting things done professionally and efficiently.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll work across a varied range of client environments, handling everything from everyday support requests through to more complex infrastructure and Microsoft 365 issues.

Day-to-day responsibilities may include:

- Diagnosing and resolving technical issues remotely using our support and management platforms

- Microsoft 365 administration and troubleshooting

- Microsoft Entra ID / Active Directory

- Windows Server environments

- Remote Desktop Services and RemoteApp environments

- Group Policy, authentication and user configuration

- Microsoft 365 Exchange Online and email troubleshooting

- Windows 10 and Windows 11 endpoints

- Networking, internet and Wi-Fi troubleshooting

- Microsoft SQL environments supporting industry-specific applications

- 3CX and business communications

- Endpoint, backup and security monitoring

- Preventative maintenance and proactive client checks

- Basic scripting and automation

- Assisting with infrastructure upgrades and technology projects

You'll be allocated work through our service management platform, but this isn't purely a reactive helpdesk role.

Between support requests you'll also perform proactive maintenance, review client systems, check backups and monitoring platforms, identify potential problems and look for opportunities to improve the client's environment before something breaks.

Onsite Client Work A key part of this role is being ClubIT's technical presence in Sydney.

While much of your normal support work can be completed from home, you'll regularly attend client sites throughout the Sydney suburbs to perform:

- Preventative maintenance visits

- Technology health checks

- Infrastructure troubleshooting

- Network and Wi-Fi work

- Hardware installation and replacement

- Projects and upgrades

- Client meetings and technical reviews

- Escalated onsite support

You'll therefore need a current driver's licence and the ability to travel to client sites around Sydney.

The Person We're Looking For

Technical ability matters, but so does how you work with people.

Our clients need someone who can walk into their business, communicate confidently with management and staff, solve problems and represent ClubIT professionally.

We're looking for someone who can:

- Work efficiently and independently in a hybrid environment

- Take ownership of tickets and see problems through to resolution

- Prioritise work and meet service deadlines

- Communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical people

- Work collaboratively with our broader technical team

- Troubleshoot rather than simply follow a checklist

- Identify opportunities to improve client environments

- Maintain accurate documentation

- Be professional, approachable and customer focused

- Know when to escalate and when to keep digging

Our preference is always quality over quantity. Closing a ticket quickly isn't useful if the problem hasn't actually been solved.

Experience

Ideally you'll have

- At least 1–2 years of relevant IT support or MSP experience

- Good knowledge of Microsoft 365

- Experience supporting Windows desktop environments

- Experience with Windows Server and Active Directory / Entra ID

- General networking knowledge

- Experience troubleshooting real-world business IT environments

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

Experience working within an MSP environment is highly regarded.

Experience in Club's or Hospitality industries will be desirable.

More senior applicants are also encouraged to apply, particularly if you're looking for a role with greater flexibility or reduced hours.

Hours & Remuneration

This position is primarily a full-time role of 40 hours per week.

We would also consider part-time or flexible arrangements for the right experienced candidate, particularly a senior engineer looking for a better work-life balance.

Remuneration is negotiable and will reflect your experience, technical capability and the level of responsibility you can take on.

Why ClubIT?

You'll get the flexibility of working from home without being stuck doing remote helpdesk work every day.

You'll have the opportunity to build relationships with clients, get onsite, solve interesting problems, work on projects and have genuine input into how client environments can be improved.

We're growing our presence in Sydney, so this is also an opportunity to become an important part of that growth rather than simply another number inside a large MSP.

Ready to Apply?

Send us your CV and, just as importantly, tell us a little about yourself.

We'd like to know about your experience, what areas of IT you enjoy, what you're interested in outside of work and what you're looking for in your next role.

If you sound like a good fit, we'll be in touch.
