IT Traineeship - Service Desk Analyst

The successful trainee will be employed by NECA Education & Careers and placed with one of our host employers, gaining valuable hands-on experience while completing qualification in Information Technology.

No previous IT Service Desk experience is required. Full training, coaching, and ongoing support will be provided to help you develop your technical knowledge and workplace skills within a professional Managed Services environment. The most important qualities for this role are a willingness to learn, a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a genuine desire to help customers.

What Will You Be Doing?

Based in the Coburg Office, you will support the Service Desk team and assist customers with a variety of technology-related requests, including:

- Providing first-level technical support to customers via phone, email, and ticketing systems.

- Logging, monitoring, and updating service desk tickets.

- Provide basic IT support, assisting users with common technology issues, account access, Microsoft 365 applications, devices, and connectivity.

- Escalating complex technical issues to senior IT support staff when required.





- Communicating with customers to provide updates on support requests.

- Providing administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of the Service Desk team.

What We're Looking For

- The ability to successfully complete all required pre-employment checks, including a National Police Check and Working With Children Check.
