Junior Dynamics 365 Test Analyst | Federal Government Contract

Join a high performing government technology team as a Junior Dynamics 365 Test Analyst, supporting the delivery of critical digital services. This is an excellent opportunity for an early career testing qualified with experience in Dynamics 365, SQL and API testing to further develop their skills in a collaborative Agile environment.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Junior Dynamics 365 Test Analyst (APS4 equivalent) to contribute to the testing and quality assurance of enterprise business systems. You'll work alongside business analysts, developers, architects and stakeholders to ensure solutions meet business requirements and quality standards.

This role offers exposure to complex digital transformation programs, modern testing practices, and enterprise Microsoft Dynamics 365 environments.

Contract Details

- Initial 9 month contract
- Up to 2 x 12 month extension options
- Estimated start: October 2026
- Hybrid working arrangement
- Locations: ACT, NSW, VIC, QLD or SA
- Maximum 40 hours per week
- Must hold a Baseline Security Clearance

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, maintain and execute test cases, test scripts and test data
- Analyse business requirements, user stories and design documentation
- Document test plans and testing outcomes
- Identify, investigate and report defects in line with testing standards
- Support defect resolution and re testing activities
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, architects and subject matter experts
- Assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) coordination




- Produce testing reports, metrics and progress updates
- Contribute to quality assurance activities and continuous improvement initiatives
- Work across Agile and Waterfall delivery environments
- Support knowledge transfer and documentation activities

About You To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

- Experience analysing business requirements and translating them into effective test cases and scripts
- Experience executing manual testing and documenting defects
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to investigate issues and identify root causes
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver quality outcomes within tight timeframes
- A collaborative approach and willingness to learn within an Agile environment

Technical Skills

Highly regarded experience with

- Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365)
- SQL
- API testing
- Test management and defect tracking tools
- Agile delivery methodologies

Desirable Experience

- Degree in Information Technology or a related discipline
- ISTQB Foundation Certification or equivalent practical testing experience




- Understanding of software testing methodologies and quality assurance frameworks
- Knowledge of SDLC, defect management and testing best practices
- Experience using testing tools and test design techniques
