Role Description The Junior Project Manager will assist in planning, coordinating, and tracking residential and commercial construction projects from initiation through completion. Day-to-day tasks include supporting project scheduling, monitoring timelines and budgets, preparing progress reports, and helping manage subcontractors and suppliers. The role also involves organizing inspections, updating documentation, resolving issues, and communicating with internal teams and external stakeholders to keep projects on track.

The successful candidate will work closely with senior project managers, learning best practices and contributing to consistent, high-quality project delivery.

- Candidates should possess skills in expediting and working as an expeditor to help ensure materials, permits, and services are delivered on time.
- Candidates should possess project management skills, including basic planning, scheduling, risk awareness, and stakeholder coordination.
- Candidates should possess inspection-related skills, such as assisting with site checks, quality control, and compliance documentation.
- Candidates should possess logistics management skills to support the organisation of deliveries, site access, and resource allocation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships with diverse teams and clients.
- Solid organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic project environment.
- Proficiency with common project tools and software (e.g., MS Office, project tracking systems); familiarity with construction documentation is an advantage.
- Relevant tertiary qualification or trade-related experience in construction, engineering, or project management is preferred.
