Control Automation Solutions – Salisbury QLD

This is a key position responsible for preparing accurate, competitive and commercially sound estimates for industrial electrical projects. Working closely with management, project managers, engineers, clients, suppliers and subcontractors, you will assess project requirements, develop detailed cost estimates and support the preparation of successful tenders and project proposals.

Key responsibilities

- Analyse project specifications, drawings, blueprints and documentation to determine the scope of electrical works and project requirements.
- Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for industrial electrical projects.
- Calculate labour, materials, equipment, subcontractor and other project costs.
- Obtain and assess supplier and subcontractor pricing.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, clients and other stakeholders to clarify project requirements.
- Identify project risks, challenges, exclusions and potential cost impacts during the estimating process.
- Prepare detailed quotations, tenders and project proposals.
- Present estimates and clearly communicate key costs, assumptions and pricing considerations.
- Use industry-standard estimating software and tools to prepare comprehensive project estimates.




- Maintain accurate estimating records and historical cost information.

About you

- Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator within an industrial environment.
- A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
- Solid knowledge of industrial electrical systems, relevant codes, standards and regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, specifications and technical documentation.
- Excellent mathematical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience using industry-standard estimating software and tools.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- The ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
