Senior Engineering Teacher – Term 2 Start n

Teach Senior Engineering and STEM, including Design Technology - Years 10-12.

We are seeking a passionate and innovative Engineering teacher to join a forward-thinking, co‑educational secondary college on Brisbane’s north side. This full-time fixed‑term position runs until the end of 2026, with potential for permanency based on performance and fit.

Key Responsibilities n

n
- Deliver engaging and effective Engineering and Design Technology lessons for Years 10–12, aligned with the Australian Curriculum and Queensland senior syllabus.
n
- Support senior students in deepening technical understanding through project‑based learning, CAD design, practical fabrication, and engineering problem‑solving.
n
- Foster critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration through innovative teaching strategies tailored to diverse learners.
n
- Assess, report, and provide timely, constructive feedback to students and parents.
n
- Collaborate with STEM faculty colleagues on planning, moderation, and co‑curricular STEM initiatives.
n
- Contribute to the wider College community through enrichment programs, competitions, and STEM events.
n

What We’re Looking For To thrive in this role,



you will have: nn
- A recognised teaching qualification and current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers (QCT).
n
- Experience teaching Senior Engineering, Design Technology, or STEM subjects in secondary contexts.
n
- A commitment to student‑centred, evidence‑based teaching practices.
n
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organisational skills.
n
- Enthusiasm for professional growth and contributing to a supportive, values‑driven school culture.
