Teddy Espresso Smithfield is seeking an experienced barista to join our passionate and dynamic team. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for serving quality cups of coffee with friendly customer service—ultimately, we are striving for the best coffee experience.

Key responsibilities

- Daily maintenance of coffee equipment including opening and cleaning
- Monitor and dial coffees served to maintain the utmost quality of each and every cup
- Prepare a variety of coffee beverages, adhering to our recipes and quality standards
- Ensure presentation of the final products up to standard including latte art
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work-station, ensuring compliance with sanitation regulation
- Efficient communication with team members for smooth workflow
- Read the space and team play for effective and effective workflow
- Uphold Teddy Espresso's brand image and values at all times

About you





- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Barista in specialty coffee roasters
- Extensive understanding in specialty coffee including Origins, Processing Methods, Varietals and Roasting
- Ability to cup and score in accordance with SCA standard
- Knowledge to create brew recipes with the factors of Grind Size, Dose, Yield, Brew Time and Temperature
- Knowledge of current and past coffee culture
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends and holidays as needed
- Strong customer service skill and problem solving skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
