We're looking for a Kitchen Hand / Cook to support our Chef in delivering a café experience that's every bit as magical as the rest of MoPA.

About the Role

As Kitchen Hand, you’ll support the Head Chef to deliver a consistently high-quality food offer. From prep to presentation, you’ll take pride in every item that leaves the kitchen.

Key responsibilities:

- Prepare café and catering items, including sandwiches, wraps, snacks, and platters
- Ensure food meets presentation, portion, and quality standards
- Maintain a clean, organised, and food-safe kitchen
- Follow stock rotation and minimise waste
- Support quality control and flag any issues early




- Work closely with café and wider museum teams

About You

- Experience in a café or kitchen environment
- Solid food prep and presentation skills
- High standards around cleanliness and food safety
- Able to work quickly and efficiently under pressure
- Team player who communicates well and takes initiative
- Comfortable following direction while working independently

Formal qualifications are a bonus, but not essential, hands-on experience matters most.

Availability

MoPA is open 7 days a week, including weekends and school holidays. Please only apply if you’re available during these times.

Pay: $26.44 – $44.99 per hour
