Trippas White Group (TWG) is looking for reliable and hardworking Kitchen Hands to join our teams across three of our Sydney venues:

- Botanic House, Royal Botanic Gardens
- Terrace on the Domain, Royal Botanic Gardens
- Centennial Homestead, Centennial Parklands

We are looking to build a strong pool of Kitchen Hands who can join our busy kitchen teams across our restaurants, cafés, events and functions.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build experience in hospitality and develop their skills within professional kitchen environments.

About the Role

As a Kitchen Hand, you will play an important role in supporting our chefs and ensuring the kitchen runs smoothly throughout service.

Your responsibilities will include general kitchen duties, washing dishes, cleaning, assisting with food preparation and keeping the kitchen organised and ready for service.

You may be based primarily at one venue, depending on your experience and availability, with opportunities to work across our venues when required.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist chefs with basic food preparation and kitchen duties
- Wash dishes, pots, pans and kitchen equipment
- Keep kitchen areas clean, organised and hygienic
- Assist with deliveries, stock rotation and storage
- Maintain clean floors, benches and kitchen equipment
- Assist with setting up and packing down kitchens for events
- Support chefs and other kitchen team members during busy service
- Follow food safety,



hygiene and workplace health and safety procedures
- Dispose of rubbish and maintain general cleanliness throughout the kitchen
- Assist wherever required to ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen

About You

We are looking for people who:

- Have previous kitchen hand or hospitality experience, ideally
- Are reliable and punctual
- Have a strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Are physically fit and comfortable being on your feet for extended periods
- Can work efficiently in a busy environment
- Are comfortable with repetitive tasks, cleaning and manual handling
- Work well as part of a team
- Are willing to learn and take direction from chefs and supervisors
- Take pride in maintaining a clean and organised workplace
- Are flexible and happy to assist wherever required

Hospitality experience is preferred, but we are also open to applicants who are reliable, hardworking and keen to get their first experience in a professional kitchen.

Availability

Our venues operate seven days a week, and we are looking for candidates with flexible availability.

Availability across

- Weekdays
- Weekends
- Public holidays
- Day and evening shifts
- Christmas and New Year's Eve

will be highly regarded.

We are particularly interested in candidates who are adaptable and would be happy to work across more than one of these venues when required.
